Joshua Wight: Drums Josh Wight is a 20-year-old studio drummer from the Seattle area. Josh and I went to high school together and I am very privileged to play with him. Josh has a click track for a heart beat and can play basically any style asked of him. He's played a more folk/pop style for Brian E of Seattle and has filled in for the former Selah7, a rough, Rage of The Machine mixed with PAX217. Josh's drumming is unique to me because of all his different influences, I'm sure he'll tell you about them, but Josh has made it clear that he wants to add to the sound that I am trying to produce and is my favorite drummer to play with because he is so sensitive to the ear of the artist. I just hope I can start paying him more so he sticks around! Now there's a good reason to buy a t-shirt! Josh's Contact info:
Thaddeaus Wight: Bass Thadd Wight is 22 and has been playing bass with me for the last year and a half, since the release of "Less Talk, More Rock". Not only did Thadd tare it up on the bass on the album, but he was the engineer behind the project. Thadd is the theory head of the band. I get nervous writing out chord charts for him. I don't even write them out for any of the guys anymore. Thadd, a lot like his bro, Josh, is a very versatile player. Although he sings and writes his own jazzy acoustic music, he has been known to let loose on the stage with his high school band, Selah7. Selah7 opened up for a ton of big names, I'll let Thadd go into that later, but they were not just a stereotypical "high school" band. I enjoy working with Thadd not only because of his incredible musicianship, but he might possibly be the nicest guy in the world. It's true. Just ask his girlfriend. (Thadd also has his own independent "thang" going on…check 'em out.) Words from Thadd: I'm a home-grown guy born and raised in the Seattle area. I have been playing music for over 12 years now, and I love it more and more every new day. I enjoy cooking asian food, drinking French wine, fishing, rock climbing, camping, rope swinging, and just about anything else with good friends. As a profession I am a hired musician, music instructor, and independent artist. I have a two year business plan to put out EPs every 6 months and sell them for $5 dollars a piece. So I hope I can keep you on your toes more often with new material and not intrude on you cash flow. Keep in touch and spread the music with all your friends. Kyle A. Frank: Electric Guitar(occasionally the acoustic) Kyle A. Frank and I have played music together since junior high. Now, at 21, Kyle is leading the worship team at Overlake Christian Church and still playing all the time when he can. I think it was about 10th grade when Kyle got his first pedal, then it was all over; he's basically a gear head that knows way more than I do and has an incredibly unique sound. Kyle, is an amazing friend of mine, but he's a fabulous musician. I'm still working on him to sing some BGVs with me at the shows, 'cause he has an amazing tenor voice. There was a point in my life when I was focused enough to take a couple guitar lessons from Kyle. Like Thadd, Kyle knows his theory and fills in some of the gaps in some of my chords. He uses his instrument to create a different texture to the music. I don't know why I'm writing all this "music" stuff about him, he's the real musician in my mind. Words from Kyle: a man of few words interspersed with awkward pauses and odd noises, kyle frank plays guitar and really wishes he had a girlfriend (his problem with the previous is probably hurting any progress of obtaining the latter). while music is his passion and God-given direction in life, he really hopes that it brings him more hot babes (or at least one way hot, funny, cool one). kyle has played guitar with jo since they were in jr high at occ (still single by the way). man, that was forever ago. oh crap i dropped out of third person... um "good morning star-shine, the earth says hello..." for a complete list of the things i do in the way of music, stay tuned... i might just spill the beans. kyle is kinda weird, fails miserably at capitalizing words that should be according to people who write the rules about writing english, and gets amazingly sweaty doing just about everything. but he loves Jesus, music, and the people he ministers to and with at the flipside (occ jr high). sigur í Kristur ka Contact info for Kyle A.
